WHEN EAST MEETS WEST!

Privileged to be invited by The Honorable Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario to attend the Caucus Diwali Celebrations at Queens Park, Toronto. (Legislative Assembly of Ontario, Canada)

Thank you Sir for highly appreciating my ZapInFusion creation – ‘The Omnipresent Mother’.

A proud moment indeed to have my work showcased at one of Canada’s important landmarks.

Synopsis:
Represented here is the fusion form of the Divine Mother, (epitomizing the 2 different cultures that I live in today and that I belong to) by using Canadian motifs (maple leaves/ Canadian geese) and intertwining them with Indian motifs (lotus, decorative lamps, ornaments etc)

• The Canadian maple leaves are projected as her ‘Aasan’ (seat) in place of the red lotus.
• She is shown facing East, welcoming the rising sun. (depicting a positive future across different cultures)
• She’s shown holding a book (ultimately, knowledge is power!!)
• She’s holding the lamp with 4 lights. (denoting that she’s enlightening the 4 directions)
• In one hand, she is holding a marigold flower (symbolizing wealth, fortune and prosperity) and a lotus (symbolic of purity of the body, speech, and mind as while rooted in the mud, the lotus still blossoms and floats above the muddy waters of attachment and desire)

Pray to the Divine Mother to shower her POSITIVE ENERGY on all of us.
